Terms and Conditions
Endoscan is not an emergency service. If you are seriously unwell, in severe pain, or bleeding heavily, contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call 999 in an emergency. Do not wait for a scan appointment or a reply from us.
1. About us and these terms
These terms apply when you book or attend an appointment with Endoscan Health, or use our patient portal. Please read them before booking. By booking, you accept them.
- Registered name: Endoscan Health Ltd
- Company number: 16942326
- Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ
- Clinic address: 10 Redcliffe Street, London SW10 9DT
2. What we provide
We provide a specialist transvaginal ultrasound examination focused on the assessment of endometriosis, review by a consultant gynaecologist, and a written diagnostic report. Appointments take approximately 45 minutes and a report is usually available the same day.
We accept self-referrals. A GP referral is not required.
What our service is not. It is a diagnostic assessment, not ongoing medical care, and it does not replace your GP or specialist. A scan cannot exclude every condition, and endometriosis cannot always be seen on ultrasound. A normal result does not always mean nothing is wrong, and we will always tell you what a result can and cannot rule out.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to book online. You must be able to give informed consent to an intimate examination, or be supported by someone who can consent on your behalf.
4. Consent and intimate examination
A transvaginal ultrasound is an intimate examination. Before it begins, the clinician will explain what is involved and ask for your consent.
- You may ask for a chaperone at any point, and one will be provided at no cost.
- You may decline or stop the examination at any time, for any reason, without explanation.
- If you stop the examination partway through, we will discuss fees with you fairly and in line with section 6.
5. Booking and attendance
Appointments may be booked through our website, the patient portal, or by contacting us. A booking is confirmed only once we have confirmed it to you.
Please tell us as much relevant medical history as you can. The accuracy of your report depends on the accuracy of what you tell us. We are not responsible for findings affected by information that was incomplete or incorrect.
6. Fees, payment and cancellation
Our fee is available on enquiry and will be confirmed to you before your appointment. Payment is due at the time of booking to secure the appointment. Invoices are issued electronically.
- Cancelling or rescheduling: please give us at least 48 hours. Cancellations with less notice will incur a full appointment cost.
- Non-attendance: if you do not attend without notice, the full fee will be charged.
- If we cancel: we will offer you the earliest alternative appointment or a full refund.
Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
7. Your report
Your report is prepared by a qualified clinician and reviewed by a consultant gynaecologist. It is usually available the same day; occasionally further review is needed and we will tell you if so.
Your report is provided for you and for clinicians involved in your care. You may share it with anyone you choose. We cannot control how a third party interprets or acts on it.
Where a scan suggests something requiring urgent attention, we will tell you and advise on next steps. Acting on that advice remains your decision and your responsibility.
8. How we use AI
We use software tools, including artificial intelligence, to support our clinicians in preparing reports.
- AI does not diagnose you. Every report is prepared and approved by a qualified clinician, who is responsible for its clinical content.
- AI is currently used to assist with measurement, drafting and consistency — not to determine whether you have endometriosis.
- We only use your imaging to develop our AI if you give separate, explicit consent. It is optional and declining will never affect your care. See our Privacy Policy.
9. The patient portal
The portal lets you manage appointments, view documents and access your report.
- Keep your login details secure and do not share your account.
- Tell us immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- Do not attempt to access another person’s record, disrupt the service, or test its security without our written permission.
- We may suspend access where we reasonably believe an account is being misused or is compromised.
We aim to keep the portal available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. It may be unavailable for maintenance.
10. Intellectual property
Our website, portal, software and models remain our property. Your report and your medical records relate to you, and you have the rights over your personal data set out in our Privacy Policy.
11. Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. This includes clinical negligence.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses, or for the acts of third parties to whom you choose to give your report.
We hold professional indemnity insurance appropriate to the services we provide.
12. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us — we would rather hear it. Contact contactus@endoscan.ai and we will acknowledge within 7 days and respond fully within 14 days.
If you remain unhappy, you may refer your complaint to an independent complaints body, e.g. ISCAS. Complaints about your personal data can go to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your appointment is the one published when you booked. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
